Yamile is a passionate and transformative educator as the Founder of Latinas Finas de Carolinas (Classy Latin Women of the Carolinas), a non-profit organization promoting the empowerment and awareness of Latinas in the Carolinas. She believes that when we empower Latinas to collaborate with all women, together they can mentor generations of today and into the future.
Yamile is the author of, “Loud, Large, Latina Fina” a book that dives deep into learning how to shape our vulnerabilities into super powers. She shares about her upbringing, the abuse she experienced as a child, her mistakes and her resiliency when she embraced and accepted who she was created to be.
Yamile has been a guest on Latinosnc TV, WTOB Winston-Salem Radio Station, and has been featured on the cover of Stepmom Magazine. Articles have been written about her in Stepparent Magazine and The Chronicle. She has been a guest speaker at Salem College, Elon University, A&T University, Venture Cafe Winston-Salem, the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system, and ACHI WSWA Annual Conference.
